Daniel Jones benched with Eagles embarrassing Giants

Brian Daboll got plenty of expectations from Daniel Jones on Sunday.

Jones sat on the bench in the fourth quarter of an ugly game against the Eagles. Once again, just about everything went wrong for the offense as Big Blue trailed 28-3.

He completed 14 of 21 for 99 yards before being replaced by Drew Lock, and while the Giants offense only made one field goal in the second quarter, the Eagles had over 300 yards of offense. Collected.

After a tough opening game, Jones bounced back with some strong games, including a road win against the Seahawks in Week 5.

But they struggled in prime time against the Bengals last week, and the Giants once again humiliated their NFC East rival on Sunday.

Their chances of remaining competitive for a district title continue to dwindle, and following Daboll's decision, Jones' grip on the Giants' starting job could also be in jeopardy heading into Week 8, or at the very least. It will be questioned again.
