Observations from Friday’s Giants training camp practice.
driving school
The starting offense capped off a three-play touchdown drive with a shotgun quarterback draw by Daniel Jones from the 2-yard line.
How did the ball get there?
Jones hit a deep ball to Malik Neighbors and then sent a twirling sideline pass to Jalyn Hyatt.
Forcing the issue
After an inconsistent performance, Jones forced Neighbours to pass too many times.
During the two-minute drill, Jones never looked left and just glared at Neighbors along the sideline, where Dayne Belton leapt for an interception.
Earlier, Jones missed a pass from Wan’Dale Robinson, who was completely free, for five yards.

It caught my eye
In a battle of rookies, RB Dante Miller lived up to his “Turbo” nickname by racing down the sideline behind LB Darius Muasau.
Quarterback Drew Lock threw a pass to Miller for a 40-yard touchdown.
The competition for the backup running back position is fierce.
Injury Report
RT Jermaine Eluemnour (bruised rib) returned to training with the first team after missing just one game.
He was replaced by RT Josh Ezeudu.
Safety Tyler Nubin and defensive tackle Timmy Horn both did not practice because of calf injuries.
