Here’s what to watch out for in Saturday’s preseason game between the Giants and Texans.
Back in the cockpit
Daniel Jones has not played since Nov. 5 and will be making his debut on a right knee that has had surgery, marking something of a career reset.
He doesn’t want to take a hit, but if he does, the Giants will be better off if he gets up and moves on.
You can get work
The starting perimeter cornerback position opposite Deonte Banks is open, with Cordale Flott not taking the role this summer.
He is out with a quad issue, giving Nick McLeod (or Tre Hawkins) the chance to take his place.
Feeding Luke
Malik Neighbors was on the field 12 times in the preseason opener against the Lions and was never targeted by quarterback Drew Lock, despite breaking free at least twice.
Neighbours missed last week with a high ankle injury but is expected to recover quickly and will once again be in the spotlight if he features in this game.
