Legal tampering has reached the NFL, and this is the most hilarious concept ever.
It's totally ridiculous to think that there's no team behind closed doors and not talking to each other. It's one thing that we all accept what it is, but anyway, free agency is here and that's the most important thing.
It's built at the point at hand… We've already seen multiple deals across the league, with a few players either returning to the team or finding new players (already entitled to sign elsewhere).
We are here Skinny PostMichael Peterson and RJ Ochoa have some thoughts on that.
Davante Adams goes to the Rams… Cool or not?

RJ:
Needless to say, I've seen aging superstars often find new teams on the West Coast, but that alone doesn't really burn everything and isn't really exciting.
However, the Los Angeles Rams were a team that could take players with them looking for new chapters in their careers and remove all of the lemonade. Don't forget that Jalen Ramsey, Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller were all part of the team that won the Super Bowl four years ago.
What excites me most about the decision to join Davante Adams is that he is forged his own path independent of Aaron Rodgers. The only time I could see this in the NFL was when he (perhaps stupidly) crushed his wagon to Derek Kerr. Matthew Stafford is a very capable quarterback and may be able to get some of the things that were left behind from him for better profits.
Please sign me for this all the time.
Michael:
Adams really thought he'd have the opportunity to land with the Charger, but after hearing him heading for the Rams it actually makes a lot of sense. He had many successes in Green Bay under Matt Lafleur and Lefleur.
If there are other coaches besides Lafleur who knows how to get the absolute most from Adams at this stage of his career, it's McVay. He is about to be paired with Puka Nakua and Matthew Stafford, so we look forward to one of the bounce back seasons for Adams in LA.
Would you blame DK Metcalf for abandoning his demands from his trading partners in favor of making more than $30 million from the Steelers?
Michael:
Metcalf is only a little bit responsible, as he hoped he would become a charger, but I'm sure it wasn't. When the report said he wanted warm weather and consistent quarterback play, the charger looked right along with the Texas, the Rams and a few other teams. But in the end, money certainly talks, and over $30 million a year for the receiver is no joke.
Now, the only downside of Metcalf is that he doesn't really know who will throw this next season. For now, he looks like Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers. For him, I hope it is Wilson who has already developed a relationship with him during their time together in Seattle.
If so, he could have a really good time in Pittsburgh, freezing weather and more.
RJ:
It's definitely not.
DK is an incredible player for the Seahawks and understands whether he generally feels the change in the landscape is in place.
But even more, I don't know that Seattle just abandoned Genosmith and they feel they're in the fight while they bring in Sam Darnold. It feels like a soft reconstruction.
The Steelers may have plans at quarterback, but at least they had an open checkbook and an opportunity for DK to really win cash. That's good for him.
Do you really care where Aaron Rodgers is going?

RJ:
On that surface, the idea of a Hall of Fame quarterback with the opportunity to choose his new team in free agency is rivets. When Payton Manning first got the opportunity in the present day 13 years ago, we were all captivated (isn't that insane?).
While each of these situations was fascinating, they also lived up to the tempered expectations. I didn't know exactly what Manning or Brady left in the tank. In the case of Aaron Rodgers, it feels like the answer has already been found. He doesn't seem to be very good anymore (compared to the players he was in his Prime).
Beyond Aaron's own limitations these days (as we see)… If he signs there, the team he can play in is not an interesting situation. Rogers to the New York giant? Yawn. The idea of the Minnesota Viking would be fun if it wasn't literally the fact that his Fabre Ark reaches its complete and complete conclusion.
boring.
Michael:
When the dust settles, I honestly think I'll go with one of the final teams that Rodgers has him. Teams like the Steelers and Seahawks seemed to focus on Sam Darnold. The Seahawks landed Darnold and the Steelers managed to get Rogers. My guess is that there is a land with the Steelers as Darnold has a better skill group to surround the quarterback. That means Rogers can land very well with the Giants and Seahawks. Both lack weapons.
Knowing Rodgers, we could see him thinking long and hard about hanging the cleats if he had the only option to play in 2025.
You touched on the Viking as an option, but I don't see it. They need to focus on teams around JJ McCarthy and use every part of the cap space away from the quarterback spot.
Who won in Laremy Tunsil Trade and why was it the commander?
Michael:
Laremy Tunsil allowed the second lowest pressure in the NFL in 2024. He has protected one of the NFL's best young quarterbacks in the past two seasons, with the Texans making consecutive playoffs. Do you know what a team should do with that type of recent success? Trade their franchises and the potential replacements currently on the roster will leave with absolutely zero potential exchanges.
That's exactly what Houston was in Tonshiru.
Overall, the Texans will send out Tunsil and the fourth rounder of 2025 in exchange for four draft topics, including the 2026 second rounder and the 2025 third rounder. In my opinion, the commander let the Texans get away.
Jaden Daniels is probably crying tears of joy right now. Meanwhile, CJ Stroud? Another kind of tears.
RJ:
The Commander and the Texans took second overall quarterback, bringing crazy success in their first year, and how did they do this just a year after the Texans' second year.
What does Houston do? This is a big steal for Washington, and they support their man. CJ Stroud has been fired 1 ton The team has Tunsil Last year, this will further set back from overcoming the hump.
The commander has gained a real taste of success and clearly wants more. I admire that.
I don't think about what Texans are doing.
