Davante Adams could stay with Raiders in latest trade twist

In yet another development, Davante Adams could stay in Las Vegas.

The six-time Pro Bowler, who recently requested a trade, has received interest from other teams, but it's not just “phone ringing interest.'' According to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The lack of calls has something to do with the Raiders' asking price.

According to ESPN, the team is seeking a second-round draft pick, additional compensation, and someone willing to pay the full amount remaining on Adams' contract at no cost to the Raiders. That's what it means.

And the report says the Raiders won't budge because they don't feel the need to trade their star receiver.

The Bills and Saints are two teams that have inquired about Adams, as well as the Jets, with whom the Raiders are still in talks.

They also plan to speak with the Steelers while in Las Vegas for Sunday's game, according to ESPN.

Adams is also said to be a “big supporter” of Raiders second-year quarterback Aidan O'Connell, who was named the starter for Sunday's game as veteran Gardner Minshew heads to the bench.

According to ESPN, even though the Raiders signed Minshew as a starter in the offseason, Adams has always believed in O'Connell's play, calling him one of the best quarterbacks he has ever played with. I'm here.

Adams will miss Sunday's third game with a hamstring injury, but it's still worth it for him to train to play with O'Connell.

Adams is nearing his return from injury, according to Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, who also said Adams is “still a Raider.”

“When he's healthy and able to play, we're going to play him,” Pierce said.

Adams last played on September 22nd in a 36-22 loss to the Panthers. He had four receptions for 40 yards on nine targets.
