Adams missed the Raiders' last three games as he recovered from a hamstring injury. But when Adams was asked about the injury on Tuesday, he said, “I feel great.”

“I feel great,” Adams told McAfee. “I feel great. I've been working with the guys in Las Vegas the whole time and they've been able to get me back on the right track, so I'm lucky that I can roll.”

Meanwhile, Rodgers said he's “really excited” to have another chance to throw a pass to his longtime friend.

“He's a phenomenal player and a dear friend,” Rodgers said Tuesday. “Obviously we had a bad day yesterday. We had a really good chance to go up 3-3 and win the home game. We just kind of missed it.”

“I was driving home in traffic and had gotten some messages but didn't feel like talking to anyone. I got home and (Adams) called me and called me. He texted me and I ended up calling him.'' So, I don't know, I heard the news last night around 12:30 or 12:45. ”

Adams and Rodgers developed chemistry while playing together. The wide receiver expressed confidence as he talked about the new challenge of learning the nuances of the Jets' offense in a relatively short amount of time.

“I think there are some new nuances, but for the most part there are a lot of the same expressions,” he said. “It's still the same OG here, so we should be able to pick up where we left off. That's the idea.”

“He's a proven star player. He's an asset. He's an unbelievable presence in the locker room,” Rodgers said. “I think that's going to really help Garrett (Wilson). Being able to be around a player who's been doing it at a high level for a long time, seeing how he approaches his process through osmosis. Please, there's a lot he can get.”

The Jets will look to get back on track as they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers later this week.
