The rumors surrounding Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams don’t seem to be dying down anytime soon.
The two teamed up for eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers, but Adams moved to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022.
Meanwhile, Rodgers was upset with the team for drafting a potential replacement for him, Jordan Love, and then failing to support him offensively.

Rodgers continues to speak highly of Adams, who has averaged 119 receptions for 1,489 yards and 13 touchdowns in 17 games over the past five seasons.
However, the four-time MVP is currently with the New York Jets and the team will need additional receiver help, even if Garrett Wilson joins the team.
Adams said Rogers “ [his] I “heard” about the reunion.
“He’s definitely in our ear. He’s in our ear,” Adams said on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams.” “But it’s not that easy. Of course, we can get together and talk about old times and the possibility of doing this or that.”
“But like I said, I’m a Raider and he knows that.”
Adams might have been on the trade market or even gone to the Jets by now if the Raiders hadn’t kept Antonio Pierce. Pierce was named interim head coach after firing Josh McDaniels, and most of the locker room begged him to make the deal official, which he did.

But the Raiders are lacking a quarterback and are far from being a championship contender, while Adams said the Jets are a threat under center.
“Any team with Aaron Rodgers is better in every way, especially the defense, the players, the running backs, the receivers,” Adams added. “Any team you put a quarterback like him under center is a Super Bowl contender.”
Adams’ 1,144 yards receiving were his fewest since 997 in 2019 (he missed four games due to injury). Last year, he had 322 yards through the first three games and 172 in Week 3, but then failed to reach 80 yards in six straight weeks.
Even in a Christmas Day win over the Kansas City Chiefs, he only had one catch for four yards (the Raiders didn’t gain any passing yards in the final three quarters).

He reminded everyone of what he can do with a 13-126-2 performance in Week 17. The Jets will surely be happy, but the Jets-Raiders battle seems a done deal as training camp approaches.
