Davante Adams’ trade wish list includes reunions with 2 quarterbacks: report

Davante Adams has requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders, and the new team's wish list reportedly includes two quarterbacks he has grown up with in the past.

The New York Jets and New Orleans Saints are two teams on his wish list, which makes sense given their ties to Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr, respectively. ESPN reported Wednesday.

The 31-year-old receiver was rumored to be traded last season as the Raiders struggled under former head coach Josh McDaniels, and at the time the Jets traded former Green Bay Packers quarterback Rodgers. was added to the roster and included in the list.

Now, Rodgers hasn't been able to play for the Jets due to a torn Achilles tendon, but he's been playing well as “Gang Green” this season, and the Jets could use a little more firepower on offense.

Rodgers was also heard saying last year during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, “I love Davante Adams. I can't wait to play with him again.”

Meanwhile, Carr, who was with the Raiders in Adams' first season with the team, is playing well in New Orleans after a shaky first season. When Adams was traded from Green Bay before the 2022 season, Las Vegas was his preferred destination because of Carr, the Fresno State quarterback.

The Raiders balked at substantive trade talks for Adams last season, but ESPN said they would “consider” Adams, including additional compensation, if a second-round pick was included in the package. It has been reported that this has been communicated to each team.

And this comes after Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce was spotted liking an Instagram post suggesting Adams played in his final game in Las Vegas. Ta.

Adams was asked if he had been in touch with Pierce on his show “Up and Adams'' with Kay Adams, and he replied, “I haven't heard anything from him. I haven't talked to him.'' “…Social media is a beast, so a lot of people who saw it wondered what was going on and reached out.”

But the Jets and Saints aren't the only teams that could compete for Adams. The Dallas Cowboys could use another weapon on the outside for quarterback Dak Prescott. And while the Kansas City Chiefs are in dire need of a receiver due to Laci Rice's injury, the Kansas City Chiefs, who play in the same district, are not expected to be an option for Adams.

Adams was considered week-to-week with a hamstring injury, which kept him out for the Raiders' game against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday.
