Dave Navarro Files Lawsuit Against Perry Farrell
On Wednesday, Dave Navarro took legal action against his bandmate Perry Farrell, alleging assault and battery, and is pursuing at least $10 million in damages.
Navarro is joined in this lawsuit by fellow band members Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins. Reports indicate that the hostilities aren’t just on stage; they’re affecting the band behind the scenes, hindering their North American tour and delaying their upcoming album.
A video from TMZ shows Farrell and Navarro clashing on stage, pushing each other while startled fans looked on. Navarro claims that the confrontation escalated offstage, with Farrell purportedly striking him in the face amid a dispute fueled by anger and control issues.
According to Navarro, this altercation not only led to the cancellation of Jane’s No. 15 show but has also resulted in a significant financial setback. Reports mentioned that Farrell’s wife, Etty, sought consultations from both a neurologist and an ear, nose, and throat specialist following the incident.
Navarro described the violent encounter as particularly distressing, evoking memories of his more troubled past, as per TMZ’s coverage.
While Navarro’s suit focuses on assault and battery, Avery and Perkins are seeking damages that include claims for emotional distress, negligence, and breach of contract among other issues, according to reports.
