Dave Rubin REACTS to Justin Trudeau’s unexpected resignation speech

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appears determined to start the new year with a bang, announcing his intention to resign as party leader and prime minister on Monday.

“I intend to step down as party leader and prime minister after the party selects its next leader through a national competitive process,” Trudeau told reporters. “Last night, I called on the Liberal Party leader to start that process. This country deserves a real choice at the next election. And if I have to fight a domestic battle, I will It was clear to me that I wasn't going to be the best option in that election. ”

Prime Minister Trudeau has led the country for nearly a decade but has faced a significant drop in approval ratings in recent years, with many critics citing the rising cost of living as a reason for their disdain.

“This shouldn't surprise anyone,” said Dave Rubin of the Rubin Report, gleefully.

“It's like Canada handed over the keys to the kingdom of a great country with really great people for 10 years to someone who wants absolute control. Literally controlling what you say and what you do online and shutting it down. If you protest against him and allow all kinds of people to cross the border, shut down your bank account. And God knows what those people are doing at that time,” says Rubin.

“Canada seems to be in a moment of awakening, right? Similarly, things could turn around in Canada,” he added.
