The Yankees are closing in on a replacement for the legendary John Sterling.
Mariners TV announcer Dave Sims is close to a deal to become WFAN's new Yankees game broadcaster, sources told the Post.
According to the people involved, an agreement has not yet been finalized.

WFAN officials did not respond to requests for comment.
If Sims is indeed the player, the Yankees would approve WFAN's selection of Sims to replace Sterling, sources told the Post.
It's a full-circle moment for Sims, 71, who co-hosted daytime sports talk on WFAN with Ed Coleman from 1989 to 1993.
The Post previously reported that Sims and Ricky Ricardo were the two finalists.
Sterling, 86, retired in April of last season after 35 years of service, but returned to be part of the Yankees' postseason run leading up to the World Series.
