Democratic activist David Axelrod has sharply criticized Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his endorsement of Donald Trump.
The former campaign adviser and White House adviser to Barack Obama took to social media Expressing Dissatisfaction A scion of a leading Democratic political family supporting the Republican standard-bearer.
“Robert F. Kennedy was my political hero,” Axelrod said, “He fought fiercely and eloquently against poverty, injustice and for economic fairness. Unfortunately, with his rambling exit from the race today, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. proves that sometimes the apple falls far from the tree … in this case, it has fallen down hill and off a cliff.”

In a heartfelt concession speech in which he urged his supporters in battleground states to vote for Trump, Kennedy focused on working for future generations and said Vice President Kamala Harris “has no interest” in eliminating toxic chemicals from the nation’s food supply or cleaning up agencies like the Food and Drug Administration or the Department of Agriculture.
One of those agencies could be a landing spot for Mr. Kennedy under a Trump administration, where, in language that echoes the president’s own “America First” vision, he has spoken at length about the need to prioritize the health of America’s children over the profits of corporate donors.
Axelrod didn’t believe it.
“Robert F. Kennedy Sr. would have been stunned to see his son pledge to drop out of the race and support Trump,” he said. Posts.

Kennedy said in his speech that he had reached out to Harris but she did not answer his calls. He said Harris has “not expressed an interest in addressing this issue.”
