His “Time to Make a Choice” in 1964 speechRonald Reagan famously stated, “The Government Bureau is the closest to the eternal life we see on this planet.” And for over 60 years, President Reagan’s words have proven true. However, with President Donald Trump’s historic reelection and the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Elon Musk’s leadership, Gipper’s claims are finally being challenged. (Related: David Bosui: Trump is the only one who has enough courage for this job.)
The Trump administration has inherited a horribly bloated federal government that desperately needs common sense to be streamlined from top to bottom. For decades, administrative agencies have grown at an uncomprehensible rate, and with it, waste, fraud and abuse. Presidents on both sides of the aisle have promised to tighten their belts of government, reduce bureaucracy and return power to those to which it belongs. In most cases, these efforts, no matter how well-intentioned, did not descend from the ground. The reality is that when politicians are forced to cut legislative priorities and government spending, reductions are always the first casualties. But with $36 trillion citizen debt currently out of control, it is no longer a choice but a need to keep the size and scope of the government down.
President Trump is the perfect leader in these ordeal times. He is deemed and fears nothing. And the challenge isn’t too big. The president is on a mission to save America, including securing borders, growing the economy, building peace in Ukraine and the Middle East, and negotiating fair trade deals. And if the CEO succeeds in dismantling the controls, it’s Trump, a steel change agent. The shadowy deep state does not scare him, and the biased liberal media cannot threaten him. This time there is no fake partisan investigation aimed at chasing him aside. Trump promised to govern his financial responsibility, and with Musk and Doji, they eventually conducted a “dental audit” that Americans had been waiting for, and their hard work turned out to be infectious.
As the days go by, another member of the cabinet will be able to announce new cuts, discover overlapping programs, update outdated systems, and move us away from the rapidly approaching fiscal cliff. When the president happens to be a very successful businessman, it makes the business run more smoothly and the name of the game for less money. Trump brought this idea to the White House Polling 77% support a full review of government spending.
President Trump is back to basics that have become taboo in Washington. This could include asking basic questions about whether the agency is successful on its mission and whether the program is still needed. In the education sector, Trump is no longer planning on driving the cans out of sight after an emergency. The President believes that excellence in education for our children is essential, and that America can compete for future generations. The dramatic reforms have been postponed for a long time, meaning that education decisions will be returned to state and local officials and parents. That’s why President Trump is taking steps to tackle the failed situation. close Low-performance sectors can take over scores from inactive public schools and low-tests.
Similarly, with the decision end USAID and Slash Foreign Aid, Trump and Doge simply put America first. America is passing billions of dollars for taxpayers around the world in a program that should be spent fixing our own domestic issues. Plans for It will be decentralized And modernizing the agricultural sector is another great example of thinking outside the box. Americans understand the rationale that downtown DC, Washington, should make its final decision on agriculture. It is common sense to move departments to various hubs around Heartland.
Additionally, the Ministry of Health and Human Services announces that cut The 20,000 full-time employees are part of President Trump’s vision to “make the federal government right-sized and unleash the private sector once again.” words of Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent. And the words that the Trump administration plans to ultimately work with Congress. Refunds National Public Radio and The Public Broadcasting Service are welcome news for millions of Americans who believe it’s wrong to send taxpayer funds to biased news outlets.
Doge also does a brave job at the Social Security Agency (SSA). Amazing efforts to identify deceased individuals, illegally or otherwise ineligible will help stem the program’s bankruptcy. 10 years Get away. When Doge officials revealed that 40% of calls to the SSA are from con man When you try to take advantage of the system, it becomes very clear that new safeguards must be adopted.
It’s even better when it comes to the question of whether Doge will ultimately end up saving taxpayers in the context of a $36 trillion debt crisis. But the overall change in mindset is forcing governments to operate efficiently and responsibly like businesses and families, and passing that mindset to future administrations is perhaps the most important change. In fact, in an ideal scenario, every state, county, or city will have its own Doge operation. We need to take serious effort to reduce government waste right now. Otherwise, you’ll go bankrupt. That’s the reality of the situation, and President Trump knows it.
