David Graham, voice of Thunderbirds and Peppa Pig characters, dies aged 99 | Television

David Graham, who voiced characters in “Thunderbirds” and “Peppa Pig,” has died at the age of 99.

The London-born star has also voiced the evil Daleks in Doctor Who, and brought to life Thunderbirds puppet characters aquanaut Gordon Tracy, scientist Brains and Lady Penelope's chauffeur Aloysius “Nosie” Parker in the series about the secret organisation trying to save the world.

“We are very sad to announce that David has passed away aged 99,” TV producer Jamie Anderson, son of Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson, said in a statement to the PA news agency.

He added: “Just a few weeks ago I went to a Gerry Anderson concert in Birmingham with 2,000 Anderson fans singing along to celebrate his birthday. It was such a joyous occasion.”

“And now, just a few weeks later, he has left us. David was always gracious and generous with his time and talents — and what a talent.”

“From the Daleks to Grampa Pig to many of the voice actors from Anderson's shows, including Brains, Gordon Tracy and the iconic Parker. He will be truly missed.”

Graham returned to play Parker in the ITV remake of Thunderbirds Are Go, which aired from 2015 to 2020, but did not appear in the 2004 live-action film in which the role was played by Ron Cook.

The original 1965 Thunderbirds was created by Gerry Anderson, who passed away in 2012, and his second wife, Sylvia Anderson, who voiced Lady Penelope, and who passed away in 2016.

Anderson's official account said in a statement on X: “David has always been a great friend to all of us at Anderson Entertainment. David, we will miss you. Our thoughts are with David's friends and family.”

Graham played Grandpa Pig in the children's show Peppa Pig and also voiced characters in Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom.

His actual acting roles include Doctor Who, Coronation Street and Casualty.
