David Lynch’s cause of death revealed

The cause of David Lynch's death has been revealed.

The legendary filmmaker passed away on January 16th at the age of 78 after cardiac arrest caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. TMZobtained Lynch's death certificate from the Los Angeles County Public Health department.

Dehydration was also listed as a key contributor to Lynch's death.

Lynch's family announced his death on social media last month.
