David Ortiz took the Fox postgame show to an unusual spot following the Yankees' comeback.

Things were lively on the Fox set until a certain name came up.

During the post-game coverage of the Yankees’ 9-6 comeback win against the Blue Jays, David Ortiz, Alex Rodriguez, and Derek Jeter had a light-hearted moment trying to pronounce rookie pitcher Cam Schlittler’s name. Ortiz quipped it sounded like “Hitler,” sending everyone into a fit of laughter as the night drew on.

After the unexpected reference, Jeter suggested they take a break, while FOX broadcaster Kevin Burghardt chimed in with a reminder for Ortiz to just call him Cam, hinting that depending on the rookie’s performance tomorrow, perhaps he’d earn the title of Mr. Cam.

On Tuesday night, the Yankees found themselves down 1-6 in the third inning, leaving their hopes in the hands of the rookie.

In the ALDS, with pitching rotations stalling, Aaron Boone managed only seven outs from starter Carlos Rodon.

The Yankees’ bullpen pulled the team back into contention, tying the game at 6 in the fourth inning—thanks in part to Aaron Judge’s impressive three-run homer.

Long delays due to rain in Detroit forced staff to extend their pre-game shows, which meant Jeter missed some parent interviews. Still, they received high praise for their entertainment during the coverage.

Despite the late hour, fans seemed to appreciate the dynamics among Ortiz, Rodriguez, Jeter, and Burghardt, likening their vibe to something reminiscent of the “Inside the NBA” show.

As the Yankees prepared for a crucial Game 4 against the Blue Jays, Schlittler is set to pitch, stepping into a moment filled with urgency for the team.
