DC lawmakers on the naughty list after proposing INSANE spending bill

Speaker Mike Johnson tried to push a bill through Congress before Christmas with funding for censorship and coronavirus mandates, but his plan was successful in defeating several lawmakers and even watering down the bill. It was even blocked by Elon Musk.

“Everyone in Washington, D.C., could be on the naughty list. I've seen over 1,500 pages of CRs filed by the House of Representatives that include things like pay increases for Congress and Obamacare exemptions for elected officials. Jill Savage said. Comments from “Tonight's Blaze News.''

“We've seen an incredible backlash against this bill online, and it's not just from members of Congress. Elon Musk has also joined the fray. So now the pressure from the public sphere… Is it enough to send Mike Johnson back to square one at CR?'' Savage asks Blaze News senior political editor Christopher Bedford.

“Oh, yeah, I think this is dead on arrival. And in the 20 years that I've been in D.C., or the years that I've been covering this, it's never really happened that the Unionist Party has gotten this much backlash. I had never seen anything like that,” Bedford said.

“They didn’t even want to bring conservatives to the table,” he continued. “They basically had to hand out Christmas presents to Hakeem.” [Jeffries] And Chuck Schumer and his friends, and ever since it was finally dropped, the response has exploded. ”

Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and J.D. Vance have all voiced their opposition to the bill one after the other, with significant influence.

“I can't imagine a world where Mike Johnson tells Donald Trump, J.D. Vance and Elon Musk to step up on this,” Bedford said.
