Actor Robert De Niro told ABC’s “The View” Tuesday that former President Donald Trump and his supporters are full of anger and hatred.
Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “Some people criticize you because you’ve been pretty open about your distaste for Trump and the danger he poses to our democracy. You once showed him in his face. He famously said he wanted to punch him.But he is currently leading in the polls in five battleground states.Do you have any advice for the Biden campaign and voters? What are you thinking?
De Niro, who was under heavy censorship, said, “I don’t think I can understand why people don’t take him seriously. I think of Hitler and Mussolini and think, “Oh, they’re idiots and clowns.” I hear from several people. I mean, who wouldn’t think this guy would do exactly what he set out to do? He’s already done it. So what? We sit down and say, ‘I told you so. ”
He continued: If he is elected, this country will change for everyone. They may think that doing so will make their lives better, or, pardon my French, they may just want it. I just want to interact with people from other parts of the country. Literally, the people who support him with anger and hatred, they’re going to see because that’s what he’s all about. ”
He added, “I was watching these things and couldn’t understand how he and Rosie O’Donnell were involved in it. I didn’t really care. I see a full, mean, horrible person…He’s vicious. Why doesn’t he do that in this country? He’s already done it. I punched him in the face. He said he wanted to punch them in the face. You don’t talk to people like that. would you do that?”
De Niro said, “It’s like he’s trying to do the worst thing he can to show this country and build friendships with us. His slogan is “F America, I F America.” It should be ‘I want to make it F.’
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg added, “And the other thing is, even if he becomes president again, it doesn’t mean he’s going to stop being president. You know this? His thoughts.” is to stay at home until you die.”
De Niro said. “That’s it. He still doesn’t admit it, so imagine if he actually won the election, that’s the end of it. There would be a civil war like this. Because he Because everyone is focused on what he is saying and that is what he wants and the world he envisions, which is chaos and madness and completeness. It’s crazy.”
