Dean Cain claims he was blacklisted by GalaxyCon due to his conservative beliefs.

Actor Dean Cain has recently voiced concerns about being blacklisted in the entertainment industry. This week, he shared a screenshot on social media depicting an email from Galaxycon, the organization behind a fan convention. The email cited a clash in “values” as the reason for their decision not to work with him.

The message mentioned, “I have a soft spot for Dean Cain because he sent me an autographed postcard in the mail when I was about 10 years old, but Galaxycon’s values do not align with Dean’s.”

While supporting fellow actor Robert Davi’s claims about Hollywood’s ongoing blacklist for those backing Trump, Cain has publicly opposed the practice of ideological blacklisting and vague language regarding values. He expressed disbelief, stating this is how they attempt to sideline someone like him. He even included an eye-rolling emoji in his post on X.

Cain challenged Galaxycon to clarify which beliefs had excluded him from the event, asking pointedly, “What ‘values’ do I have that don’t align with Galaxycon’s values?” He called out both Galaxycon and its vice president of talent, while noting that he didn’t blame her as she was merely conveying a message and not the final decision-maker.

After speaking directly with Galaxycon’s owner, Mike Broder, Cain indicated that their values were, surprisingly, not so different after all. He described the dialogue as essential, promoting the idea that conversations, rather than exclusions, could foster a better world.

Blockbuster roles aside, Cain’s commentary arrives shortly after he reacted to Ethan Hawke’s suggestions that the American entertainment landscape has shifted unfavorably. Cain pointed out, perhaps bluntly, “Try being conservative, bro,” implying that the challenges they face differ based on political beliefs.

Ultimately, Cain’s experiences and reflections underscore the complexities of navigating a rapidly changing industry, especially when personal values come into play.
