Longshot Democratic primary challenger Rep. Dean Phillips says Special Counsel Robert Hur’s scathing report on President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents “handed the 2024 election to Donald Trump.” It’s the same thing.”
Phillips, a 55-year-old Minnesota Democrat who is running to unseat Biden, said the 388-page report, which described the president as an “elderly man” with “diminishing capacity,” meant he would not be able to serve a second term. He said this confirms that it is not suitable for the eyes.
“This report simply affirms what most Americans already know: the president cannot continue to serve as our nation’s commander in chief beyond his term, which ends on January 20, 2025. ” said Phillips. Statement to FOX News Digital Thursday.
“Already facing the lowest approval ratings in modern history and losing in each of the key battleground states, this report shows that if Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee, he will lose the 2024 election to Donald Trump. It’s as good as giving in. And I encourage all Democrats to face the truth.” He continued.

Phillips added that it was a “sad day” not only for Biden and his family, but also for the United States.
In his scathing report, Mr. Xu concluded that Mr. Biden “intentionally retained and disclosed classified material” after leaving office as vice president, but did not recommend criminal charges.
Mr. Xu wrote that the 81-year-old president displayed “serious limitations in memory” during an interview with investigators in October and had forgotten important events in his life.
But the special counsel argued that if the case went to trial, the commander-in-chief would present himself as a “sympathetic, well-meaning old man with a poor memory.”
On Thursday night, an irate Biden slammed the contents of the Hur report, dismissing it as “completely false.”
“I’m a well-meaning, older man who knows what I’m doing,” Biden passionately said in a speech at the White House.
Shortly after, he mistakenly referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi as “the president of Mexico.”
