Rob Shooter Signs Three-Book Deal with Post Hill Press

Rob Shooter, known for his celebrity gossip column, has a background as a publicist for stars like Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson. He has recently inked a three-book deal with Post Hill Press.

His first novel, “It Started with a Whisper,” is expected to hit shelves on April 21st. Shooter characterizes the book as a fictional tale, drawing inspiration from his real-life experiences in the entertainment industry. Specifically, it captures aspects of his time on VH1’s “The Gossip Table,” where he worked alongside Delaina Dixon, Marianne Garvey, and Chloe Mellas from 2013 to 2015.

The narrative centers on four gossip show hosts, exploring themes of friendship and betrayal, all while they navigate their own personal secrets.

Shooter, who also contributes to the National Enquirer and hosts a podcast named “Naughty But Nice,” has plans for his second novel, which is set to be published in November. This one offers a fictional exploration of the British royal family, revealing intrigue that goes beyond the palace’s public facade.

Additionally, his third novel will set its sights on a legendary tabloid newsroom, showcasing the biggest stories of the century, and is also expected to be released this year.

Previously, Shooter published a self-help book titled “The Four Word Answer” in 2021. He is currently in discussions with major companies, including Netflix, regarding adaptations for film and television.

While Shooter refrained from commenting on specifics, he expressed great enthusiasm for collaborating with Post Hill Press. He noted, “These stories are sharp, fast-paced, and full of behind-the-scenes drama that I’ve spent my career following. Whisper is just the beginning.”

Anthony Ziccardi, a representative from Post Hill Press, praised Shooter’s unique ability to connect with audiences. He described Shooter’s writing as “bold and addictive,” stating that the stories promise to captivate readers.
