On Friday's “Real Time” broadcast on HBO New York Times Columnist Ezra Klein said “building a lot of coal plants will reduce energy,” but “decarbonization is a trade-off.”
After Klein said Texas is building up a ton of green energy due to part of its regulatory structure, author Andrew Sullivan said, “But why don't you produce energy from fossils and green energy?”
Klein replied, “I think climate change is a problem.” And “If you build a lot of coal plants, that would get worse.”
Klein added: “It literally doesn't mean all richness. It defines what I think is rich. Everything is a trade-off of my co-author, Derek Governance. Covering our sky, and that's going to get worse.”
