Defense Secretary Pete Hegses fired two four-star military leaders on Friday evening, reviewing and replacing those who were not in line with his and President Donald Trump's efforts to prioritize combat in the military I promised that.

Shortly before Hegses' announcement, Trump fired the chairman of Co-State Chief of Staff Charles “CQ” Brown, who was placed in that position by former President Joe Biden.
