Deion Sanders Smiles This Offseason
Deion Sanders is in a good place this offseason.
The Colorado head coach shared that he felt overwhelmed by the transfer portal after a challenging season that ended with a record of 3-9 and a streak of five losses. On a brighter note, he’s also enjoying a new romance.
In late December, he made things Instagram-official with 37-year-old actress and influencer Karrueche Tran, as part of his “Today I Have Time” series. It offers a glimpse into their relationship.
Co-host Rossi Diaz brought up the connection during the show. “Can I set the record straight?” he asked Sanders, 58. “I didn’t set you guys up. Everyone seems to think I played matchmaker. She came to the show for my birthday, and sure, you brought her there looking to impress, but I didn’t have anything to do with it.”
In response, Sanders remarked, “First of all, my shots don’t miss. I didn’t need to pull in someone else to score. My shots are solid.”
Diaz chimed in, “They all look so cute together. It makes me really happy for everyone involved.”
Sanders added, “Good women, good people have really enriched my life. They bring so much positivity to my days, and I can’t help but smile.”
Earlier, Sanders and his long-time fiancée, Tracy Edmonds, ended their engagement in December 2023. Tran also went her separate way about 11 months later.
While the two kept their relationship under wraps for some time, Tran played a significant role in the Sanders family, especially during a tough summer when Sanders’ matriarch was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
Now that his personal life is on firmer ground, Sanders is focused on revamping the Buffaloes. They’ve secured 42 commitments from upcoming transfers, placing their recruiting class at No. 22 in 247Sports as they head into 2026.
“This offseason has really improved me,” Sanders told Diaz. “We’re making waves in the transfer portal. We’re crafting something extraordinary. I genuinely feel great. I haven’t felt this good in a long time. Just, like, I need to get my nails done tomorrow, but overall I’m in a good place.”
