Deion Sanders can be imagined as Shedule Sanders in blue.
Colorado State football coach says in recent talks with former NFL cornerback Adam “Pac-Man” Jones that the quarterback's son, a potential No. 1 pick, will join the Giants in the 2025 NFL Draft. We have outlined the possibilities.
When Jones mentioned that the Giants currently hold the No. 1 pick, the Raiders returned to that slot Monday after losing to the Falcons. per tankathon — Dion hinted he had inside information.
“The Giants aren't going to give up that pick. They're not going to give up that pick,” he said. “The Giants are not going to give up that pick. I know that for a fact.”
Jones went on to ask if the Giants have the No. 1 pick in the draft.
“Shedur will be the No. 1 pick,” Dion said.
Jones again asked which player would be the No. 1 pick if the Giants were to play.
“Shedur will be the No. 1 pick,” Dion said.
Dion's answer tends to focus on the fact that he has repeatedly said his son will be the No. 1 pick, not explicitly saying he will be the Giants' next quarterback, but he says he knows the Giants won't trade the No. 1 pick. His comment leaves. There is little room for interpretation.
Without that warning, one might think that Dion is leaving the door open for the Giants to trade that pick and allow another team to draft his son.
In fact, according to this interview, Dion seemed comfortable with the idea that his son could break into the New York market.
Dion may have an idea about the Giants' overall plan since general manager Joe Schon and his lieutenants I visited Boulder earlier this year.is sure to scout Shedule and Heisman winner Travis Hunter Jr.
Those comments also came on the heels of Shedeur and Giants star rookie receiver Malik Nabors playing catch on the street Friday night before the Heisman ceremony in Manhattan.
But don't pre-purchase Shedul's Giants jersey just yet.
When Jones mentioned that the Raiders would have to “slide” to get the No. 1 pick, Dion immediately responded, “Do they need to slide?” before giving a shy smile and giggling.
In February, Dion implored Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce to draft Shedour and his brother Shiloh, a safety who is not considered a first-round pick.
Coach Jones asked Dion which player would be the Raiders' No. 2 player if Shedeur went to the Giants, but the coach basically asked him if the team wanted a quarterback — he was Miami's Cam He mentioned Ward's name — or said it would depend on whether he wanted to use perhaps his best all-around player. Hunter is a two-way genius who plays receiver and cornerback.
The 2025 NFL Draft begins April 24 in Green Bay.
