Deion Sanders hints at reason for feud with CBS

Deon Sanders wasn’t happy about being abandoned at the wedding altar by CBS.

The Colorado head coach appeared to confirm reports on X that there was an “abuse of trust” after CBS backed out of a potential project.

This behavior led Sanders to recently interrupt a CBS reporter during a press conference, saying, “What they’re doing is dishonest.”

“Between the two of them, there was a project where one person played their part, showed vulnerability and said, ‘Hey, let me share this with you.’ “We’re excited to be working with NBA 2K and NBA 2K,” said Philip Dukes of On3 Sports.“The other faction, the company, after they’d spent all this time and effort on something, they just said, without any notice or saying anything, basically, ‘No, this is not a good image for us right now.’ What might be a good image for you, it’s not a good image for us right now. … End. No project. Suddenly.”

He added, “So if you want to know why Deion Sanders reacted the way he did, there was an abuse of trust between the two of them. We’ll get to that in more detail later, but what I will say is it went much deeper than just the rankings.”

Sanders, a pro and college football hall of famer, interrupted CBS News Denver reporter Erik Christensen when the reporter mentioned his affiliation, leaving fans to speculate about the source of the feud between Sanders and CBS.

“CBS. I’m not doing anything with CBS. Next question: It has nothing to do with you guys,” Sanders said last week. “It goes beyond that. It has nothing to do with you guys. I love you guys. I appreciate you guys. I respect you guys. It has nothing to do with you guys. They know what they’ve done.”

When Christensen stated that he was from Denver and not a national reporter, Sanders continued, “You are you. CBS is CBS. It has nothing to do with you. I respect you. I said that, but I look you in the eye as a man. I respect you. I love you, but what they did was terrible.”

Some have speculated that Sanders may have been upset by CBS. Ranked 15th He was one of 16 Big 12 coaches to offer scathing criticism of him in a separate CBS article.

“You may not have gotten the memo yet, but until further notice, the new face of the Big 12 is a trusted brand advocate coming off a 4-8 season,” CBS columnist Dennis Dodd said. Written on July 10th.

Dukes, who is listed on the X account as a national recruiting analyst/host, argued those theories are false.

Dukes, who revealed he has a personal relationship with Sanders, detailed why the vendetta isn’t based on any rankings.

Dukes did not provide details about why the project fell apart.

“You have to believe that both sides had their work cut out for them. Deion Sanders kept his promises. The other side didn’t. It wasn’t for the greater good, it was for the other side’s benefit. That’s why Deion said it was rigged. He could have used other words in the dictionary, but he used very strong words, and that’s rigged. So rigged or fair, whatever you want to call it, let’s be clear. Deion Sanders is not upset about the ranking. That’s the end of my argument.”

Sanders appeared to conclude his explanation with a quote tweet promoting Dukes’ YouTube video.

“Thanks bro for keeping some things to yourself. We love when they make assumptions LOL Sometimes insanity is better than Sanford & Son. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,” Sanders tweeted late Monday night. “Keep up the great journalism. 💯 Relationships are everything in this industry. God bless you bro. 🙏🏾✅👍🏾💯”

It’s unclear whether Sanders’ complaints are new or old. Terrible announcements get attention Sanders worked at CBS’ “The NFL Today” from 2002 to 2004, before the two sides got into a fight over pay.

Sanders eventually worked for CBS again during his time with the NFL Network.

With the outspoken coach taking on CBS, much attention will be on whether Sanders can live up to expectations this season after the Buffaloes collapsed late last year.

Colorado opens the season on Aug. 29 against North Dakota State.
