Deion Sanders pushes back on ‘stupid lie’ top Colorado players would refuse to play for some NFL teams

Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders denied a “stupid lie” about wanting some of his players drafted by certain NFL teams.

Sanders said on the “Million Dollars Worth of Game” podcast that his son, Shedule Sanders, and two-way player Travis Hunter refuse to play in “certain cities.”

He added that some teams are not a good fit, including the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens.

He also mentioned that Eli Manning refused to play for the San Diego Chargers despite being drafted No. 1, and said he would “take Eli away” if things don’t go where he wants. He was traded to the New York Giants and went on to win two Super Bowls.

“Who said that, and did you see me say that? One thing about lies is that they move very quickly. It can one day overtake the truth. It’s bold That’s a stupid lie. I have more than 6 owners who are friends. I have more than 6 GMs who are friends.

“You have to understand. I played 14 years with NFL Network and CBS, and I think I worked another 17 years. I know a lot of people. Now, I would never do that. I’m very… I won’t reveal the teams I want them to play because it was stupid, and I’ll probably reveal some teams I don’t want them to play, which is stupid.”
