Deion Sanders shares he never doubted God during his fight with cancer

Dion Sanders shared on Monday that he had his bladder removed following a cancer diagnosis. He emphasized that, despite the challenges, he never questioned his faith in God. “I have never questioned God. You know my faith, a man,” he stated in an interview.

Sanders, 57, reflected on his mindset, saying he never asked, “Why me?” Instead, he sought guidance, asking, “Lord, show me what you’re trying to do.” He mentioned feeling a sense of purpose despite the adversities he faces.

He acknowledged that undergoing such a significant change in his health led him to re-evaluate his lifestyle. Seeking advice on coping with these changes, he’s committed to finding a way through it all.

Sanders discovered his bladder cancer through an ACT scan, urging others to get checked for potential health issues. He expressed how amazing it feels to reconnect with his players after his surgery.

The Colorado head coach has his eyes set on improving the team’s record this upcoming season after a 9-4 finish, especially after losing standout players like Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders to the NFL.
