Caleb Going from football to the NFL is already an adjustment enough, but Deion Sanders says Caleb Williams has one more thing to deal with.
The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner is likely to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, held by the Chicago Bears.
Williams spent the past two years at the University of Southern California after spending a season at the University of Oklahoma.

The 22-year-old grew up in Washington, D.C., so he’s no stranger to the Northeast. But Saunders is concerned that Williams will spend most of his play in warm to potentially frigid temperatures.
“I’ll tell you what I have a problem with. And this kid can play hard. I think he’s definitely the best player on the board this year. From California the last few years. This is the kid who came, right? And, “I went to Oklahoma. It’s not that cold. Chicago is cold,” Sanders told Mad Dog Sports Radio via Pro Football Talk.

“When you take a young guy, you have to think about things like that. For example, when you take a guy from Ohio State and bring him to Chicago, I understand that. But from California to Chicago… ?”
Sanders’ son, Colorado quarterback Shedur Sanders, is scheduled to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, but his father worries his son could end up in a similar situation to Williams.

“Yeah, I don’t want my own kids. [Shedeur] I won’t go to a cold place next year. He grew up in Texas. He played at Jackson and Colorado. The season ended before it got cold in Colorado. I’m just thinking far ahead. I don’t want that for him. ”
