A $2 tip was allegedly enough for a pizza delivery driver to return Sunday and stab a pregnant customer 14 times at a motel in Kissimmee, Florida.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said Brianna Alvero, 22, returned to the Riviera Motel on E. Arlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, U.P., and was charged with attempted murder, burglary with a firearm, aggravated assault and kidnapping. announced that he had been indicted. report.
The man who is said to have been accompanying Alvero during the incident has not yet been identified.
The woman was staying at a motel with her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter to celebrate a birthday and ordered a $33 pizza from Marco's Pizza.
Alvero delivered the pizza around 10 p.m., but the woman tried to pay with a $50 bill.
The suspect didn't have any change, so the woman used small bills to pay for the pizza and gave Alvero a $2 tip. NBC News Reported.
The woman said a short time later she heard a loud knock on the door, according to the affidavit. When the door was opened, a man and woman wearing all black clothes and masks forced their way into the room.
The man brandished a silver handgun and demanded the woman's boyfriend go to the bathroom, according to the affidavit. The other person, believed to be Albero, pulled out a pocket knife.
Alvero went through the woman's purse and broke her daughter's Nintendo Switch, according to the affidavit. When the woman turned around to protect her child, she felt an impact on her lower back.
She then “threw her daughter on the bed and attempted to pick up the phone,” the affidavit states.
But, according to the affidavit, Alvero grabbed her cell phone, smashed it, and “began hitting her repeatedly with a knife.” The gunman then yelled, “It's time to go,” and stopped the assault.
The victim is expected to make a full recovery, but was stabbed 14 times and had wounds to his chest, arms, legs and abdomen. She discovered she was pregnant while receiving treatment at a local hospital, according to the affidavit.
Police obtained a warrant and arrested Alvero on Monday.
She is being held in the Osceola County Jail with bail set at $55,000, but her accomplice remains at large.
