Locanna, a Democrat, criticized his party for not planning on winning more than “default” Republicans if they “self-destructed” them.
Kanna has joined “Young Turk” on Monday Beyond what Cenk Uyger calls co-hosts, who are called “just shout out more to them” to discuss their democratic plans to reach out to those who voted for President Donald Trump.
This led Uyger to ask Khanna if Democrats have a real plan to counter the Trump administration in general. Kanna says the party's plans seem to simply wait for Trump's agenda to fail, and hopes that as a result, they will regain control of Congress.

“I think their plans are plans Democrats have gone through many times and that is that a lot of these cuts will seriously hurt people, keep Medicaid cuts, keep planes safe, keep bird secrets safe, keep nuclear secrets safe. “This is my problem. I think it will actually work in 2026… It's okay. So we'll get home back. We'll even win the presidency by default.”
He continued, “Our vision of trying to keep winning by default is our vision, as they don't have a majority in the Senate where they can go too far and then deal in real terms with the legal rage of working-class Americans of all races?

“The good news is that they're self-destructing, but as Bernie Sanders says, there's not enough focus to understand that many people who voted for Trump were not just angry, but were justly angry, as Bernie Sanders says.”
Khanna wants to work with people across the aisle to achieve the same goals, more than some of his fellow Democrats. In December, he described his meeting with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, discussing ways to reduce federal spending while maintaining government power.

“Well, we talked about it. And I insisted to him that Tesla and SpaceX are funded by the Obama government and have a government role. But let's take a look at what you did with SpaceX. Why can't you do that with the rest of the five Primes?
