Dem Mayor Tiffany Henyard Abandoned By Law Firm Representing Her, Still Facing Multiple Lawsuits

The law firm representing Tiffany Henyard, the controversial Democratic mayor of Dalton, Illinois, has asked her to withdraw from a lawsuit involving her as she currently faces multiple legal battles as mayor. did.

Del Gardo Law Group sent a letter to Henyard and the village trustees stating that Henyard has not paid the law firm for its work and that a multi-million dollar judgment against the law firm could render the village uninsurable. He claimed to have sex.

The heavily criticized mayor is also accused of misusing taxpayers’ philanthropic funds after the Tiffany Henyard Cares Foundation allegedly kept its financial data from being truthful and accurate.

Previously, a referendum passed to recall Mayor Henyard in June 2022, but Cook County Circuit Court Judge Paul Kirkula ruled it invalid.

Henyard was elected to the position in 2021 with 82% support after serving on the Dalton Village Board of Trustees for eight years.

Meanwhile, former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been appointed by the village to investigate the mayor, who is currently under fire. However, Henyard is expected to veto Lightfoot’s appointment to investigate.
