Rep. Latefah Simon of D-Calif in President Donald Trump's speech, argued that Republicans criticising the explosion of Texas Rep. Algreen's explosion was criticising the Jim Crow days.
When Trump addressed a joint Congressional session at Capitol on Tuesday, Greene stood up and cried out to deny the president had an order. As Republicans have taken him to own with the chant “America! America!”, lawmakers waving his walking stick as he cried out to create a visual sight.
Sergeant was eventually ordered to restore order by removing longtime lawmakers from the Chamber of Commerce, but Greene doubled his explosion.
“It's the best way to communicate that to anyone using his invincibility to our politeness,” Green said of Trump. “He's someone who has consistently used invincibleness against courtesy.”
Both came out of Trump's speech and responded to it on behalf of the Workers' Family Party, Simon denounced the entire Republican party at the event.
Rep. Latefah Simon has accused Trump and the GOP, especially those who called on Rep. Al Green for obstructing him during Trump's speech.
Social media erupts after House Dem Greene pauses Trump's speech: “I feel embarrassed about myself”
“We're going back to America in the 1950s,” she warned. “I want to be very clear about that. For those of us with parents, our aunts and uncles, and still living community, Jim Crow America, who looks like it would be in the chamber tonight, you can easily see your right. Differently, we are coming from four corners of the globe to make this country worthy of us all.”
Simon then denounced Green's critics, claiming their “racist cry” was like a moment in the quarantine era taught by the class of history.
“As a new member of Congress, I was shocked by what seemed like a blatant rudeness in the house. It wasn't coming from Congressman Green. I mean, I felt like I was seeing something in the historic racist class, a racist class screaming at the old man who is challenging the US president not to cut down healthcare for the sick,” she said.

“What happened to us?” Simon asked. “Tomorrow means we'll organize. Medicare, healthcare and Medicaid are still in my state, so I'll sign up for ongoing care. We can't lose those things. But 2026 is way ahead. People are now on the ground.
