Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) congratulated President Joe Biden on Monday on MSNBC's “Prime” for pardoning his son Hunter Biden for his conviction and guilty plea related to firearms charges. He said he did.
“Well done, Joe, the first thing I want to do is congratulate the president for making this decision, because at the end of the day we know that a 34-time convicted felon is going to be in the White House,” Crockett said. Because I have decided to forgive my son, so if you want to hold on to your pearls right now, look into the mirror. I say look at this because we also know that there are more people in this cabinet who have been accused of sexual crimes than probably any incoming cabinet in American history. So we're living in unprecedented times.”
She added: “As someone who serves on the Oversight Committee, I know this was completely political, this was a game all along, and this investigation has been going on for five or six years. It was the oversight committee that Mr. Hunter was trying to accept responsibility for and say, “No, it's not good enough,'' and ultimately the judge decided to deny the petition. We know that. So, considering everything that's happened, and considering where we are in this country, I say good luck, Joe. ”
