Dem Rep. Susie Lee Removes Post About Trump Saying 'I’ll Pray They F*** Him to His Face'

Congresswoman Susie Lee (D-NV) I will explain The actress, known as “America’s No. 1 bipartisan lawmaker,” made headlines after posting (and then deleting) a profanity-infused reaction to an Associated Press article detailing President Donald Trump’s upcoming appearance at a Supreme Court hearing focused on birthright citizenship.

In the early hours of April 1, Mr. Lee answered an Associated Press update in which Trump confirmed his attendance. He mentioned that this visit would mark him as “the first sitting president to attend oral arguments before the nation’s top court.” In a rather unconventional response, Lee stated, “I’m so extreme up. I hope you f*** me in the face. Sorry, I’ve been saying stuff like that a lot lately.” Soon after, she removed the post.

During the 2018 elections, Republican Danny Tarkanian contested in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District, which is considered a competitive area. Lee, who has strong connections to then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, informed Breitbart News that “Nancy Pelosi supported her campaign, raising millions—twice what the incumbent had in their last run. It’s possibly the most costly Congressional race in the nation.”

In November 2019, Lee accused Trump of engaging in “clear obstruction” and “abuse of power” regarding the Ukraine matter. While speaking at Las Vegas City Hall, she showed support for an impeachment inquiry, asserting that there was enough evidence to warrant further investigation. Lee argued that the integrity of elections is vital for democracy.

The following month, Lee announced her intention to vote for Trump’s impeachment, stating, “The facts are clear: The President abused his power and blatantly obstructed Congress.” She also mentioned, “I took an oath to defend the Constitution against all threats, foreign and domestic.” Interestingly, she represents a district that Trump won in 2016, prior to Democrats flipping it during the 2018 midterms. Polls in her area hinted that her impeachment stance could pose political risks.

Lee has faced ethics scrutiny over the years. In June 2020, she became the subject of an ethics complaint after pushing for changes to pandemic loan requirements that could benefit her husband Dan Lee’s business, Full House Resorts. Shortly after the change, the company was granted $5.6 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. Although Lee insisted she had no influence over the loan approval process, her spokesperson later acknowledged she was aware of the application.

The Foundation for Accountability and Public Trust raised concerns about Lee’s involvement with Full House Resorts, questioning her impartiality and commitment to public service. In response, Senator Joni Ernst put forth a proposal requiring Congressional members and their spouses to disclose PPP loans within 15 days, highlighting the attention Lee’s situation garnered.

In 2021, scrutiny over Lee’s financial disclosures came to light. Reports indicated she failed to report over 200 stock transactions, which ranged from $267,000 to $3.3 million, since 2020. These transactions included companies such as Planet Fitness, Wayfair, and Marriott International. Lee’s office claimed these were managed by a third-party investment manager, and upon realizing the issue, she worked with her financial advisor to rectify the disclosures.

Later that year, the FACT organization called for an investigation into Lee, suggesting that her repeated lapses in timely reporting could breach stock laws. The Executive Director of FACT emphasized the need for transparency to determine if lawmakers are acting in self-interest. Reports indicated that Lee was part of a group suspected of violating stock laws in 2021.

More allegations emerged in 2022. Business Insider revealed that Lee and her husband traded stocks worth up to $155,000 in 2021, but these trades were only disclosed months after the mandated reporting period ended. According to her office, inaccuracies in the transaction report were identified by the financial advisor, and Lee relied on the wealth management firm for information.

Later, FACT filed another complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics, prompting a request for an investigation into her delayed disclosures. They argued that the law mandates timely reporting regardless of who executed the transactions.

Lee remains a key target for Republicans in Nevada’s competitive 3rd Congressional District. In a recent interview, former Trump ambassador Dr. Jeff Gunter, seeking the Republican nomination against Lee, accused her of supporting Biden’s immigration policies and being out of touch after opposing a significant bill that included tax incentives.
