Demi Moore Celebrates Bruce Willis’ 71st Birthday
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis share a close relationship, despite being divorced for over two decades. Recently, Moore marked her ex-husband’s 71st birthday with a heartfelt message.
“All you need is love. Happy Birthday, BW! ♥️,” she wrote, accompanying the post with two touching photos of Willis and his granddaughter, Louetta.
She also posted a sweet tribute on her Instagram Stories, saying, “Birthday love that transcends generations! Happy birthday, BW!”
Moore and Willis, who were married for 13 years before their split in 2000, are parents to three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Talulah. They also welcomed Louetta, who is Rumer’s daughter.
Bruce’s current wife, Emma Hemming, spoke about her husband’s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia in her own birthday message. She began, “Today we celebrate Bruce’s birthday. 💙 This journey with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) opened my eyes to the reality that many families face. It led me to create the Emma and Bruce Willis Foundation to raise awareness of FTD, support research, and stand by caregivers who have so much to go through every day.”
Hemming, who shares daughters Mabel and Evelyn with Willis, encouraged those wanting to honor him to consider supporting the foundation. In 2022, the family announced Bruce’s retirement from acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia, followed shortly by news of his dementia.
In January, Hemming shed light on her husband’s condition, explaining that he had never realized he had dementia. “I think that’s the blessing and curse of this disease. Bruce never intervened. He never connected the dots that he had this disease,” she said, expressing gratitude that he is unaware of his condition.
She emphasized that Willis is not denying his situation but is coping with this new reality as best he can. Hemming clarified that he has dementia, not Alzheimer’s, allowing him to still recognize those around him. “They just learn how to adapt and learn how to deal with the situations they find themselves in,” she noted.
