Democrat calls for House vote on complete release of Epstein files

Representative Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) is urging House Republicans to back a request for the Trump administration to make the “Full Epstein Files” public.

“Why are the Epstein Files still kept secret? Who holds power and remains protected?” Khanna stated in a weekend post on social media platform X.

He added, “On Tuesday, I’m planning to introduce an amendment to mandate a vote that requires the full Epstein file to be disclosed. It’s crucial for speakers to call votes and have all council members recorded.”

Recently, the Justice Department released a memo asserting that there is no evidence suggesting that infamous financiers or convicted sex offenders possess “client lists” of prominent figures. The memo also found no indication of foul play in Epstein’s previously classified suicide.

This memo has triggered intense backlash from numerous Trump supporters who are now calling for the government to release Epstein’s documents.

Some Democrats seem to be seizing the opportunity to criticize the current administration over this issue, discussing the “Epstein Files” at length, but they have struggled to achieve substantial results while in office.

Much of the frustration among Trump’s allies appears directed at Attorney General Pam Bondi. Earlier this year, Bondi noted that the file was on her desk, yet it seems to have vanished when a memo was released last week. She clarified that she was referring to Epstein’s case files instead of a specific “client list.”

Trump remains steadfast in his defense of Bondi, vigorously supporting her against the backlash. Over the weekend, Bondi appeared at the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey. After Trump lauded her on social media, he reached out to conservative radio shows to defend his Attorney General.

“What’s happening with my ‘boy’ and some of my ‘gal’? They’re all targeting Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is on our team,” he remarked.
