The mayor of a Chicago suburb is in the spotlight for an absurd outlay that costs taxpayers about a dime.

Self-proclaimed “super mayor” Tiffany Henyard (D-Ill.) gained national attention for using taxpayer money to take a luxury trip to Las Vegas.
Mr. Henyard was elected Mayor of the City of Dalton, Illinois in 2021. The city is a small suburb of Chicago with over 20,000 residents.
The Democrats' outrageous actions have been widely reported in local media, but only recently have they received national attention.
Such antics include using taxpayer money to take luxury trips to Las Vegas, filming music videos, hiring DJs for town meetings, and removing cops from the streets for their own security. , including putting up billboards with her face all over the Chicago suburbs.
Las Vegas prices include $3,741 for round-trip first-class flights, $8,400 for hotels, $587 at Ruth's Chris Steak House and $400 for Hot and Juicy crawfish.

Additionally, the Democrat serves as the Thorton Township supervisor.
She received $285,000 in both positions last year, but a recent bill pushed by Henyard would cut that salary by nearly 90% if she is not re-elected.
Henyard isn't shy about self-promotion either. Her face can be seen all over Dalton, even on billboards advertising senior services and fresh food.
Dalton village trustees are growing tired of Henyard.
During an interview with fox news digital, Dalton Village Trustee Brittney Norwood said she feels like she's under a dictatorship.
“She's manipulating the situation by saying she doesn't want residents to receive services,” Norwood said. “The truth is, she spends so much money that we don't have any money for services.”
