Democrat Jasmine Crockett Allegedly Cut in Line at the Airport

Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat, has faced allegations from her colleagues about skipping ahead in airport lines with the assistance of a police escort funded by taxpayers.

On Sunday, Republican Representative Lisa McClain from Michigan shared a photo on X showing Crockett accompanied by a private police escort while waiting to board her flight. McClain accused her fellow Democrats of bypassing other passengers, including those with disabilities.

“Spot: Taxpayer-funded police escorts and Jasmine Crockett line up. They even made people with disabilities wait,” McClain posted on X.

Crockett has not yet commented on these accusations.

McClain’s remarks follow reports from Politics indicating that last Thursday, Crockett actively sought support among her party members for a leadership role on the House Oversight Committee. She reportedly reached out via text messages and emails, and held discussions on the House floor. Although the position is not yet filled, Democrat Jerry Connolly from Virginia is stepping aside due to his battle with esophageal cancer. According to sources:

Crockett expressed to her peers that she felt she was “made for now,” according to those who spoke with her.

In a message to Politico, she stated, “We know Connolly isn’t running for reelection, and our surveillance capabilities are not clearly defined.”

Additionally, she said, “While I’m sharing our findings with the public, I’m not sure if anyone is keen on leading this research agency.”

If Crockett secures the role, it would signal a significant shift in Democratic leadership towards a younger, progressive faction, influenced by representatives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York.

Crockett has positioned herself as a vocal critic of the Trump administration, recently equating a large-scale deportation initiative to a form of temptation.

“As I see it, they are effectively enticing individuals out and leaving them stranded, infringing upon their civil rights and constitutional freedoms,” she remarked in a recent Instagram video.

“And honestly, how would they react if other nations started indiscriminately sending people into our country? It’s absolutely absurd,” she added.
