Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein told Breitbart News that Democrats “appointed” Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee “without a single vote.”
“Kamala Harris has never been interviewed, she has never participated in a debate, not a single vote has been cast for her, yet she has essentially carried half the election, and we think that the American voter is tired of being victimized by low jobs, low wages, housing that is too expensive, rent that is too expensive, health care that they can never afford,” Stein told Breitbart News’ Matthew Purdy.
She continued, “We’re tired of basically funding billionaires who are making a ton of money, while the average working person doesn’t have a fighting chance. And this system hasn’t made it better. It’s made it exponentially worse. So if you want to hear about unfunded, people-led candidates who can actually speak for what the average working person wants…”
Stein also called Democrats “anti-Democrat” for “doing everything possible” to stop her name from appearing on the ballot.
“I think the Democratic Party needs to be renamed. They’re actually ‘anti-Democrat,’ and I have issues with both institutionalized parties. I’m not going to ignore the Republicans, but when you look at the Democrats here, they’re doing everything they can to basically shut down political competition,” Stein said.
