Democrat Pramila Jayapal gets upset by a mother whose daughter was killed by an undocumented immigrant.

A recent Capitol Hill hearing on sanctuary cities highlighted the personal toll of illegal immigration. During the session, a mother, whose daughter was reportedly killed by an undocumented immigrant from Venezuela, expressed her frustration to Democratic lawmakers, including Washington’s Pramila Jayapal.

According to Blaze TV host Sarah Gonzalez, the victim was shot while simply walking in a Chicago park, a decision that tragically cost her life. The mother clearly communicated her discontent with politicians who focus on defending undocumented individuals while seemingly neglecting the lives of American citizens.

She noted an apparent lack of concern from Democrats, only feeling compassion for her daughter after a loss. It felt to her that Republicans were the only ones genuinely caring about the lives of American children. “I know you’re a parent too. I respect that. But your responses have lacked real understanding; it’s not just about the loss—there is no ‘but’ after such a tragedy,” she told them.

Additionally, she planned to advocate for her daughter’s memory by placing a bench in Congress, hoping to confront lawmakers directly on why illegal immigrants seem prioritized over her child’s life.

Jayapal’s nonchalant comments about the repeated discussions on sanctuary cities seemed to indicate a disconnect. She mentioned this was the committee’s fourth discussion on the topic, insinuating that there were other matters to attend to.

Gonzalez expressed her outrage, questioning whether politicians truly grasp the reality that American children’s lives are at stake due to the ongoing issues surrounding illegal immigration.
