El Salvador President Naive Buquere has allowed Van Hollen to meet with Abrego Garcia. The senator went to El Salvador and pushed for Abrego Garcia’s return to the United States, claiming he was “illegally accused,” but Buquere retained the immigrants who were expelled under El Salvador’s custody after the meeting.

The appeals court on Friday ruled that the Trump administration must “promote” Abrego Garcia’s return to the United States. But earlier this week, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said the administration could not let El Salvador send Abrego Garcia to the United States.
Miller also said that Abrego Garcia is not legally permitted to be in the United States as Trump declared MS-13 a terrorist organization.
“The judgment stated that if this individual is sent back to our country at El Salvador’s sole discretion, he could be deported for a second time.
Buquere showed no interest in releasing Abrego Garcia to the United States or El Salvador.
“How can I smuggle terrorists into the United States?” Bukel said. “We have no power to bring him back to the US.”
As Breitbart News noted, there is growing evidence that the Department of Homeland Security shows Abrego Garcia is a member of MS-13, as well as evidence that he assaulted his wife in 2022 as an illegal worker trafficker.
