Tiffany Henyard, the Democratic mayor of the small village of Dalton, Illinois, on Monday vetoed a local board resolution calling for an outside investigation into the alleged misuse of funds.

The self-proclaimed “super mayor,” who has garnered national attention after being accused of embezzling taxpayers on luxury trips and weaponizing police in retaliatory corporate raids, was voted out last month by the Village of Dalton, Illinois Board of Commissioners.
