New reports suggest some Democratic officials have expressed concern about President Biden after seeing him at a Juneteenth event at the White House.
Several people who attended a concert at the White House last month ABC News He also acknowledged that Biden’s disastrous defeat in the presidential debate between him and former President Trump was merely a “confirmation” of the president’s behavior at the Juneteenth commemoration.
Biden appeared frozen at the event, with video showing the commander in chief looking stunned and motionless before George Floyd’s brother, Philonise Floyd, put his arm around the president’s shoulders.
“We didn’t know what to make of it, but something seemed different. He really did seem different,” Texas Rep. Ron Reynolds said.

He added, “Watching him on that debate stage was exactly what I witnessed that night at the White House… It was a reminder, unfortunately, that this probably wasn’t a one-off incident or just a bad night.”
Reynolds recalled a conversation he had with some supportive friends on the night of the Juneteenth concert.
“We both said, ‘Yes, we now know what we saw was insane,'” Reynolds said. “We both concluded that what we saw was problematic.”
Rep. Juandalyn Givan, D-Alabama, also said she was “absolutely” concerned about Biden after attending several events with the president. She said she would still vote for Biden, but noted that she had spoken with her staff about the issue a year ago.
“I expressed my concerns to some of my staff last August,” Givhan said. “I said, we have to make sure we can keep the president safe until November.”

“Everything is fine,” the staff member reportedly replied.
A former Obama administration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told ABC News that Biden’s Juneteenth speech was a “concern” to him and others and was a topic of discussion among those in attendance.
“I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, maybe there’s something else going on? Are we giving him enough rest? What’s the problem?'” the source said. “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, there could be something more to it. It definitely crossed my mind.”

“I’ve seen him stutter before, but that’s not it. He wasn’t slipping up. It happens to everyone,” the attendee added. “He just didn’t have the energy, his speech was slurred, he was hard to understand, he was in a bad mood that day and his speech was very short.”
Fox News Digital has reached out to the White House for comment but has not yet heard back.
At the time, White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said: Biden shares Juneteenth video ‘False claims'[ing] The people in the video who don’t stop moving are “frozen” because they simply aren’t dancing. There are other people in the video who are doing the same thing.”

Since then, more than a dozen House Democrats have called on Biden to drop out of the presidential race, despite Biden continuing to insist he remains in the race.
