Appearing on FNC's “Hannity” on Friday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Democrats are panicking because they realize Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign is struggling. said.
Cruz said Democrats lack policy and are trying to capitalize on “hate for Donald Trump,” not a winning message.
“Well, look, I think the Democrats are panicking,” he said. “I think there's a fight going on in the White House. I think Joe Biden's supporters are upset that Joe Biden was thrown overboard. You know, right after the Democratic convention, Kamala… Support for Harris skyrocketed, leading to a sugar high. At the time, many of us said this sugar high was temporary, but I believe this issue was set by Donald. I think it's set strongly in favor of Trump and the Republican Party.”
“Just look at Kamala Harris' train wreck in her interview with Bret Baier,” Cruz added. “I mean, it's been terrible. She can't talk about her grades over the past four years. You know what? My favorite moment is when Brett's questioner says, 'Look, you turn the page on the transformation.' I think it's when you say, “I'm exercising.'' You've been vice president for three and a half years. Why do you start turning pages? And all she could do was basically scream, “I hate Donald Trump.” And at the end of the day, I don't think hatred for Donald Trump is a winning message. And when the Democrats had a disaster on the border, when they had a disaster on the economy, when their foreign policy was in disarray, when they couldn't protect everything they touched, I is a victory for those who hate Donald Trump and don't think he understands him. ”
