Democrats claim Trump will weaponize the DOJ and FBI. These 3 realities suggest that’s mere projection.

Michigan Senator Mallory McMorrow (Democrat)
said At the Democratic National Convention on Monday, allies said, “Donald Trump will be able to weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents! He will even turn the FBI into his own private police force!”

“That doesn’t happen in America,” McMorrow added.

This provocative claim that President Donald Trump is using the Justice Department and the FBI as weapons against his political opponents has been repeated many times by Democrats in recent months.

Trump certainly has
Suggest in speech Democratic Party officials should be “locked up” for alleged misconduct, action The policies taken by the Biden-Harris administration have instead given Americans a concrete example of what Democrats fear would happen if the tables were turned.

Below, we look at Democrats’ rhetoric and track record when it comes to weaponizing federal law enforcement against their enemies.

The approach taken by the Biden-Harris Justice Department and the FBI towards Trump allies, pro-lifers, and Trump himself makes it abundantly clear that Republicans need only emulate their actions to make the fears of Democratic weaponization a reality.

You are a prison, but I am not a prison

Former Attorney General Eric Holder is one of the leading Democrats pushing the weaponization route. Earlier this year, he told MSNBC commentator Joy Reid, “I think Trump’s second term will be more about politicizing, weaponizing, politicizing. Weaponization of the U.S. Department of Justice.”

“The president is above the law. The Department of Justice is going after political opponents on absolutely no basis. They’re going to indict Joe Biden. For what reason? None of this is of any concern to them,” Holder said. “This would create an America we will not recognize. It would not be the America we all know and love, but one that looks more like Putin’s Russia.”

Holder, like other Democrats, seemed to be mostly self-reflection — after all, just days after Holder made his remarks, former Trump adviser Peter Navarro was sentenced to prison for contempt of Congress.

“The authorities will adhere to the rule of law, follow the facts and the law, and pursue equal justice under the law.”

The Biden-Harris FBI investigated Navarro’s case, as did the Department of Justice under Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Indicted that.

A completely different approach has been taken in the Holder case.
Despised In 2012, Congress passed the bill by an overwhelming vote of 255-67 after refusing to turn over documents related to the “Fast & Furious” scandal.

The Biden-Harris Justice Department also took a different approach this summer when it came to addressing Merrick Garland’s own contempt of Congress charges.

The House
Votes: 216 to 207 Garland ordered Biden’s appointees held in contempt of Congress on June 12 for failing to comply with lawful congressional subpoenas. Like Holder, Garland has been reluctant to reveal potentially damaging material related to the Democratic president.

Stephen K. Bannon, a former strategist for President Trump, was jailed on a 2021 contempt of Congress charge, weeks after the Justice Department said it would not pursue charges against him.

At the time of the indictment, Garland
said “I have committed to the staff of the Department of Justice that together we will demonstrate to the American people by word and action that the Department of Justice upholds the rule of law, follows the facts and the law, and pursues equal justice under the law,” he said in a statement.

Unfairly targeting pro-lifers

The Biden-Harris Justice Department makes no secret of its pro-abortion stance.
Create a “Reproductive Rights Task Force” that helps advance extremist abortion policies;

This bias, and the department’s weaponization against the administration’s opponents on this issue, became especially apparent in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court decision.

Of the many who carried out attacks on pro-life facilities, only a handful appear to have been ultimately indicted, and those targeted by the Justice Department appear to have been treated lightly, as in the case of a pro-abortion domestic terrorist whose case prosecutors agreed to in April give lighter sentences.

“It is abundantly clear that the Biden Department of Justice has politicized the FACE Act and weaponized it to attack pro-life Christians.”

The Biden-Harris Justice Department has taken a starkly different approach to peaceful pro-life activists, often seeking heavy penalties.

According to “The Department of Justice has filed at least 26 charges against pro-life individuals under the FACE Act in 2022. What is the total number of charges against abortion activists who disrupted or destroyed pro-life pregnancy centers following the Dobbs decision that year? Zero,” he responded to the legal group Alliance Defending Freedom.

Among them is Eva Edl, an elderly Christian woman who survived Communist concentration camps in postwar Yugoslavia and dedicated her life to fighting similar dehumanization.

The Blaze News previously reported that Mark Hauck, a father of seven and a Catholic — a denomination the FBI has targeted with “counterterrorism tools” — was arrested at gunpoint by multiple FBI agents in October 2021 after shoving off a Planned Parenthood “bodyguard” who had repeatedly tried to turn on him and his son.

“The Biden Justice Department sought to sentence Haqq to 11 years in prison for shielding his son, but recommended no prison time for Nota, even though this psychopathic transgender terrorist viciously damaged a Catholic church, fought police, assaulted church staff, and terrorized a little old lady as she prayed,” Davis added.

Trying to get rid of Trump

The Biden-Harris Justice Department has done everything in its power to stop Trump ahead of the 2024 election.

The Justice Department will ultimately be respectful when it investigates Biden’s admissions to shipping and possessing classified documents, but Garland

Despite the similarities in the charges in both cases, only Trump was ultimately indicted.

The Biden-Harris Justice Department appeared keen to convict Trump on 37 charges and impose decades of prison time, but U.S. District Judge Eileen Cannon
Decided Garland illegally appointed Jack Smith as his attorney, and Smith had no authority to litigate.

The Justice Department will open another investigation in November 2022 into alleged election interference up until January 6, 2021, and the fateful day when former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi failed to secure the Capitol. Again, Garland appointed Jack Smith to lead the investigation, and again, Smith’s skill has led to Grand jury indictmentThis time it’s in the Democratic-controlled District of Columbia.

The case is currently in limbo following the Supreme Court’s July 1 ruling.
Decision President Trump is entitled to immunity from criminal prosecution for various actions he takes as President.

It has also been pointed out that the Biden-Harris Department of Justice exerted influence in the prosecution of former President Trump by New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg (Democrat) by appointing former Biden-Harris Department of Justice official Matthew Colangelo.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey
said Co-founder of Blaze Media and nationally syndicated radio host Glenn Beck In late May, he said, “The Biden Department of Justice has become the epicenter of a coordinated witch-hunt prosecution of political opponents, not to secure valid convictions but to remove from the campaign those who oppose Joe Biden, or President Donald Trump.”
