A corrupt politician. A super wealthy business tycoon. A massive wealth gap. Social anxiety. Material excess. Regressive racial policy. A rapidly changing population due to immigration.
No, I'm not talking about America now – I Golden Age. It was an age of enormous wealth and power for a few chosen Americans, and a time of poverty and division for all others. That time in America ended with the beginning A progressive era. And while political parties may have changed platforms, Democrats have sought to defeat President Trump's MAGA movement and have made one of the great Republicans of history as a guide on how to solve the problems that led to Trump's rise. You need to see it.
In short, Democrats need their own version Teddy Roosevelt.
Now I need to be clear. Teddy Roosevelt was not the perfect person or president, whether you judge him by his today's standards or standards. But there is an aspect to his presidency that Democrats can learn.
The first was to attack corruption at your own party. The Democrats also need to have a moment of “come to Jesus.”Congress trading stocksTake money from the lobbyist and take itCorporate donations. Roosevelt was famous for attacking Republicans for not protecting Americans.
He made enemies in his own party, but his commitment to combat corruption ultimately led to his rapid ascending order of the Republican Party. To be honest, we don't see it with the Democrats. Popular progressives (DN.Y.) like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seem to be the most popular. Resistance from within their own party.
The second is not afraid to be progressive. Democrats are like comedy and tragic masks, but switch between progressive party masks and centist party masks. It clearly doesn't work, and they don't seem to have a forward direction.
They need to understand that people want to act, which means running left. Roosevelt took on the famous monopoly and trust. Have you seen Democrats do a lot to take on social media monopolies and tech giants? Have you ever seen Democrats embrace a real progressive cause?
Roosevelt has implemented a Square Trading Program with three goals: consumer protection, business law and resource conservation. By enforcing large banks, trusts, monopolies, and regulations, he stabilized the middle class and prevented the country from falling into radicalism and anarchism. By becoming surprisingly progressive, Roosevelt has stabilized the country.
The third and final thing Democrats need to learn is how to use the bully's pulpit. Trump has mastered this and Republicans love him. Democrats need their own bullies to defend their progressive ideals.
Biden was so great, and Kamala Harris' campaign was too centrism. Democrats are so afraid to anger or offend certain groups that they try to help, and make no one help. They need bullies who stick to progressive causes and are not afraid to hurt anyone's feelings, including fellow Democrats.
The liberals loved Roosevelt because they fought for the poor and reformed their government. The conservatives love him for his patriotism and for his support of his law and order and civic responsibility. The liberals also hated him because of his imperialism and nationalism. Conservatives hated him because he was anti-business and established the foundations of a welfare state.
But he is considered one of the greatest presidents in our history. Democrats need to start looking for their own Roosevelt. This is not afraid to fight, not to punch faces, to become bull mousse, to make enemies. Americans love fighter jets, and Democrats need fighters who are as progressive as Republican Teddy Roosevelt.
