Appearing on FBN’s “Mornings with Maria” on Thursday, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) responded to a Fox News report that the suspect in the Quantico, Virginia, break-in had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.
Tuberville said the leaks were evidence the world was “dangerous” and that Democrats knew they were in “difficulty” heading into the November elections.
“Senator, I want to know who is tracking people crossing the border. Let’s start with the morning news bulletin,” host Maria Bartiromo said. “Fox has confirmed with the White House that one of the two people who tried to get into Quantico military base in Virginia actually entered the country through the wide open border in San Diego. What’s your response?”
“Welcome to our new world, Maria,” Tuberville responded. “We’re going to see this again and again because there are so many people coming in and we don’t vet them and we don’t know who they are. Like you said, this is right around the corner from Quantico, they’re trying to invade our military base. We live in a dangerous world, but it’s not us who created this scenario, it’s the Democrats. They found out they had a problem at the ballot box, and they’re trying to do everything they can to make the American people think, hey, the Democrats didn’t do this, the Republicans did it, they did it with this new bill that Schumer is bringing back to Congress.”
“But we live in a dangerous world and it’s not going to get better,” he added. “The only way that’s going to change is to have a new White House. A new group in the White House that’s going to change things and change the direction the country is going in terms of opening up the border.”
