Democrats' strategy to wage a legal war against former President Donald Trump is “failing,” said Carolyn Leavitt, national spokeswoman for Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. Breitbart News Saturday.
Responding to the news that Judge Juan Marchan would postpone sentencing President Trump's business records conviction until after the election, Leavitt said, “The Democrats' loafer strategy is failing because their cases are bogus, baseless and evidence-free. And thankfully, in some of these cases, the cases are all stalled or postponed because we either have judges who realize that these cases have no legal basis or, like in the Georgia case of Fani Willis, the prosecutors who brought the cases are corrupt.”
“Her own misconduct and ethical violations have stalled that case, or with Alvin Bragg, the Democrats realized all these legal battles backfired and are now postponing the decision until after the election,” she said, adding that “the decision in this case shouldn't even be discussed in the first place” because it is inherently unconstitutional.

“This case was never filed in the first place. What happened was unconstitutional and I am confident that it will ultimately be overturned on appeal and President Trump proven innocent. I sat with President Trump in a New York courtroom for six weeks and not one piece of evidence was presented to show he was guilty of any of the 34 charges,” Leavitt said, expressing confidence the truth will come out.
“I'm glad it's been postponed, but that doesn't mean this incident, this incident, should never have happened in the first place,” she added, blasting Democrats for “interfering in the electoral process” in their handling of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a former independent presidential candidate who endorsed Trump.

“RFK Jr. ran against a Democrat. They canceled the primary. Then he became an independent. They tried to take him off the list. They waged a legal battle against him. Now they're rigging the vote in every state. They're trying to take him off the list, keep him on, against the candidate's will. It's the position of President Trump and our campaign that any candidate has the right to run for president of the United States and any candidate should have the right to vote,” she said.
“Democrats are a real threat to democracy by waging this legal war against RFK Jr., in addition to trying to throw President Trump out of the election,” she continued. “We've seen it happen in Colorado and many other states. All of those efforts have failed, but it's really incredible how far Democrats have come with this legal warfare strategy. And they're not getting enough criticism because the mainstream media is in their pocket.”
