Democrats ‘Moved’ on a ‘Bunch’ of Issues They Went Left on

On Friday's “Real Time” broadcast on HBO New York Times Columnist Ezra Klein said Democrats were driving many issues, including immigration, but did not move immigration until after the election.

Author Andrew Sullivan said Democrats “had a chance, won, had a chance to prove to Americans for four years, were moderate, they wanted to make things, they weren't these old crazy left-handed, they just failed, they didn't seem to want to control the sport until Democrats deal with some of the core issues. The two work together, from when they first worked on it until they had your argument, but you can't do this to avoid it.”

“I think they've eased. I think the party moved a bunch of those issues. Look, they passed the Laken Riley Building. … The Democrats moved this. They didn't move it quickly enough. That's part of the reason they lost the election.
